After an accident left hsi brain without oxygen for several minutes, Gerard Way has had his mental cpacity reduced to that of a seven year old

"Gerard you need to get dressed okay?" Frank said, as he waved a pair of jeans in the 31 year old's face as said 31 year old played with some Legos.

"Don;t want to!" Pouted gerard, just continuing to play in his boxers.

"Please Gerard, you can't walk around all day in just your pants" Frank groaned.

"Watch me!" cried Gerard, completely ignroing his carer "You can;t tell me what to do!"

"Amazingly Gerard, I can" Frank said sarcastically "Get up and let me put your jeans on" Frank said, holding out a hand.

"NO!" snapped Gerard, pouting at Frank "Want Mikey!"

Frank sighed and rubbed his face with a hand "Why do you want Mikey?" he asked into his palm.

"Mikeys more fun than you!" muttered Gerard, not knowing that his tyounger brother hated seeing him in this state.

"I'll call Mikey and ask him over, if you put your jeans on" Frank said, holding the jeans out again.

"fine!" snapped Gerard, taking hi jans off frank and pulling them on.

Frank smiled as he watched Gerard give in and put his jeans on.
"I'm not calling Mikey, he's at work" he said quickly, ducking before he got hit by a storm of legos or something.

Gerard growled and rolled onto his front, beating his fists and feat against the floor as he started to screma "WANT MIKEEEYYYY"

Frank grabbed Gerard's fist and held him still "I'm not going to call Mikey now, I'll call him when he gets off work, okay?".

Gerard thrashed, still crying and screaming "WANNNTT MIKEYEEYYYY NOOOOWWW"

There was a hammering at the door.

"Shut up for a minute please!" Frank cried as he left Gerard to scream in the middle of the room as he went to answer the door.
"Hello?" he said as he opened it.

Mr. Bernham glowered at frank "Will you shut him up?! Screaming and banging at all hours! Either control im or have the freak locked up!"

"Excuse me, he is not a freak! How fucking dare you come here telling me to make him stop what he cannot help. He can't help that he almost fucking drowned. Now kindly go away Mr.Bernham!" Mikey shouted, slamming the door in the horrible man's face. He was still fuming as he came back to the living room to check on Gerard.

Gerard had gone very quiet and stared at frank whn he came in "I-I'm not a freak am I Frankie? you're not gonna lock me up are you?" he whimpered.

Frank's eyes widened in surprise and he pulled Gerard into a small embrace "I would never do such a horrible thing like that Gee. Mr.Bernham is just being silly" Frank whispered.

Gerard nodded and hugged Franks leg, bruying his face in the fabric "Love you Frankie" he mumbled, unaware hat downstairs Mr Bernham was complaining loydly to the council.

"Love you too buddy, hey, why don't I see if Mikey can come down? He can't be that busy" Frank smiled.

Gerard beamed up at him and nodded, eyes wide and filled with childish innocence.

Frank went to the hall and picked up the phone.
"Hey Mikes, any chance you could come around and see Gerard? He misses you" Frank said
"No" came the instant reply
"Oh come on Mikes, you haven't been round in ages" Frank whined
"No, I have to go now" and the line went dead.
Frank stayed in the hall clutching the phone, biting his lip. He didn't want to go back and face Gerard.

Gerardwas sat in the front room, humming and giggling to himself as he played.
